The Los Angeles County Wildlife and Wildflower Sanctuaries contain some of the finest wilderness recreation opportunities available. Each has its own unique terrain and resources, from wildflower photography to bird watching. In the spring, carpets of wildflowers spread across the sanctuaries. Over one hundred species of plants have been identified in the sanctuaries. The wildlife and wildflower sanctuaries are natural areas with no facilities or established trails so come prepared if you plan to spend some time. Overall, the wildflower sanctuaries are a enjoyable and beautiful experience for the entire family.
