Originally named the Kwis Avenue Park, since its grand opening in 1964, Manzanita County Park has been a very important part of the Hacienda Heights area. In 2003, after passage of the voter-approved Proposition A, a project that renovated the Community Building was completed. The architectural design of the new Community Building is unique to any neighborhood park within the Parks and Recreation system. Manzanita Park continues to contribute to the recreational and cultural well being of the surrounding community.
