The seven acres for this park were acquired in 1956 and formally named Del Aire Park in January of 1958 by motion of then County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn. Development within the park took place during the early 1970’s. The facility was once described in an article in the Los Angeles Times as one of the top places to play pickup basketball in the L.A. area. This busy community park is located immediately adjoining the Jose Sepulveda Elementary School.
