Community Resource Fair
Originally named Krist Park, this facility was acquired and purchased by the County of Los Angeles in 1958. In 1959, the Board of Supervisors officially renamed the park to honor a great Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player, Roy Campanella. Park improvements began in 1958 and culminated in 1962 with the completion of a new multipurpose room, lighted ball diamonds, and a swimming pool and bath house. Campanella Park is surrounded by several schools within the boundaries of the City of Compton and the unincorporated areas of the County of Los Angeles.
