Deane Dana Friendship Community Regional Park

Deane Dana Friendship Community Regional Park is a 123 acre natural area park located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The park offers dramatic panoramic views of Catalina Island, Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors, Los Angeles to the north, and the San Bernardino Mountain ranges. Several hiking trails wind you through restored Coastal sage scrub habitat along the wind blown hillsides. Two ADA-accessible buses take patrons to the popular Vista point trailhead, also ADA –accessible. A beautiful 4,000 square foot nature center features a natural history museum, indoor and outdoor classrooms and live animal displays. A sheltered picnic area, barbecues and playground overlook with harbor providing a scenic stop for lunch or planned special event.

Park Programs

Little Fawn Program

This program offers children the opportunity to learn their ABC's, 123's, songs, dancing and includes storytelling, and learning about animals. The day includes a bus ride, hike and snack.

10:00 am – 12:00 noon

Every Friday

Ages: 2-5 years old

Fee: $5.00

Field Trip in Nature

An Animal presentation is given, along with a bus ride and a hike.

10:00 am – 12:00 noon Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Mornings Ages: 6-12 years old

Fee: Free

Birthday N Nature

Parties include a Animal presentation, a birthday message, projects, a bus ride and a hike.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Saturdays

Ages: 2-12 years old.

Ages: 2-5, must be accompanied by a parent.

Cost: $125.00 – up to 15 children. $10.00 each additional child, which includes older or younger siblings that may attend the party.

$25.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure reservation
