Dedicated in 1992, under a Community Recreation Joint Use Agreement, the County, it’s Department of Parks and Recreation, and Charles Helmer Elementary School have strategically aligned themselves to share the park for recreational purposes.
Since its dedication, the park continues to benefit from this cooperative agreement with expanded recreational opportunities including the installation of basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and open turfed areas (a favorite spot for local teams to practice).
