Franklin D. Roosevelt Park is one of the oldest parks in the Los Angeles County system. Construction of the park was authorized by president Roosevelt as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) building project during the 1930’s Great Depression. Roosevelt Park is a large facility that offers community programs for youth, adults, and seniors, enhancing the quality of life for those that participate in the programs and those that utilize the facility.
